Marketing Coordinator

---Responsibilities---
Content Creation:

  •  Develop engaging and creative content for marketing materials, including social media posts, email newsletters, print newsletters, and website updates.
  • Utilize various media formats such as photography, video, and audio to create high-quality promotional materials.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the organization’s brand and effectively communicates key messages.
    Social Media Management:
  • Assist in managing and growing the KSO and KSMS’s presence on social media platforms.
  • Create and schedule posts to promote concerts, educational programs, and organizational achievements.
  • Monitor social media engagement and respond to inquiries promptly.

Event Promotion:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute promotional campaigns for concerts, educational programs, and special events.
  • Coordinate the creation and distribution of promotional materials across digital and print platforms.

Community Outreach:

  • Build relationships with the local community to promote the organization’s mission.
  • Represent the KSO and KSMS at community events to increase awareness and foster connections.

Graphic Design Support:

  • Assist in creating graphics for promotional materials while adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Work with the marketing team to maintain a cohesive and professional visual identity.

Data Management:

  • Support the updating and maintenance of the organization’s contact database.
  • Track and analyze marketing metrics to assess the success of campaigns.

---Tasks---

  • Support the promotion of KSMS summer programs.
  • Help execute the KSO’s annual subscription campaign for the 2025/26 season.
  • Create and compile marketing materials for use throughout the 2025/26 season.

Development Coordinator
Start Date: June 2, 2025 / 8 Weeks
$17.40/hour

---Responsibilities---
Capital Campaign Support

  • Assist with administrative tasks related to the capital campaign, including tracking pledges and donations.
  • Prepare campaign materials, including brochures, donor packages, and presentations.
  • Provide logistical support for campaign-related events and activities.
  • Assist in researching potential donors and sponsorship opportunities.

Annual Giving Campaign Assistance

  • Help prepare and distribute campaign materials, including letters and emails.
  • Track donations and ensure timely donor acknowledgment.
  • Assist in planning and executing stewardship activities for donors.
  • Support development efforts by creating reports and analyzing campaign progress.

Donor Database and Fundraising Support

  • Update and maintain donor information in the database with accuracy.
  • Assist in preparing donor acknowledgment letters and receipts.
  • Support the coordination of donor communications and stewardship activities.

Event Assistance

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for fundraising and campaign events.
  • Help organize event materials, guest lists, and silent auction items.
  • Assist with event setup, takedown, and on-site logistics as needed.

General Administrative Tasks

  • Organize and file fundraising-related documents.
  • Perform basic research on funding opportunities and community partnerships.
  • Support the KSO & KSO Music School team with other duties as required.

---Tasks---

  • Input and update donor data accurately in the organization’s database.
  • Draft donor acknowledgment letters and email templates for campaigns.
  • Assemble campaign mail-outs, including stuffing envelopes and applying postage.
  • Organize materials for fundraising events, such as event schedules, signage, and promotional items.
  • Compile research reports on potential funding sources using online tools.
  • Set up and tear down event spaces for campaign launches and donor events.
  • Track RSVPs and attendance for campaign-related events.
  • Proofread and format documents, including campaign materials and reports.
  • Manage filing systems for campaign-related documents.
  • Support other administrative needs as assigned.

Considered a cornerstone of the cultural fabric of Kamloops, the Kamloops Symphony’s primary activity is the presentation of high quality professional orchestral concerts. Historically, this has been accomplished through the presentation of nine to ten annual programs, and up to eighteen performances in Kamloops and Salmon Arm. An important part of the Symphony’s mandate is to provide educational opportunities for the citizens of Kamloops.
