Relaxed Performances are one-hour, sensory-friendly concerts that have been adapted to suit people who might require a more relaxed environment when going to a concert. Typically, these are adults or children with learning difficulties, autism, or sensory communication disorders. Here are the key features of Relaxed Performances:

Who are Relaxed Performances for?

Relaxed performances are specifically tailored for individuals who might benefit from a more accommodating concert experience. These include people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning difficulties, sensory communication disorders, families with young children, seniors, or anyone seeking a relaxed atmosphere during concerts. The goal is to create an inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the performance.

Elements of a Relaxed Performance

Movement and noise are welcome!
We have limited capacity in the concert hall to allow audience members to move around throughout the concert.
House lights will only be slightly dimmed, allowing for more comfort and an informal experience.
The doors to the concert hall will remain open. You are welcome to leave and enter the concert hall as needed.
The use of communication boards or other electronic devices is welcome.
A relaxation station will be available in the lobby should you need a break during the show
A limited number of ear plugs are available on-site and can be requested in the lobby. Please feel free to bring your own ear coverings or sensory devices.
