Long before roads and fences divided the land, small, strong horses ran wild across the prairies and forests—sacred to the Ojibwe people. On May 11 , The Spirit Horse Returns brings their story to life through music, storytelling, and stunning visuals created by Anishinaabe artist Rhonda Snow in a breathtaking multimedia concert.

Led by Indigenous performer, Jodi Contin, and horn player and Ojibwe Horse caretaker Ken MacDonald, this moving performance shares the history of the Ojibwe Spirit Horses, their near-extinction, and their remarkable return. Through powerful music and spoken word, The Spirit Horse Returns is a celebration of resilience, culture, and the deep connection between land, animals, and people.
