Dear Kamloops Symphony Patrons,

In accordance with directives from public health authorities, and the ongoing developments surrounding COVID-19 in our community, the Kamloops Symphony has made the following decisions regarding the remaining two concerts programs of the 2019-2020 Season:

  • Luminous Voices – April 11, 2020 (Kamloops) – Postponed with the intention of rescheduling for the Fall of 2020, with a final decision of a new date (or cancellation) made by September 4, 2020.
  • A Sense of Wonder – May 2 & 3, 2020 (Kamloops & Salmon Arm) – Postponed with the intention of rescheduling for Late Summer of 2020, with a final decision of a new date (or cancellation) made by June 30, 2020.

Out of respect to all the musicians involved in both programs, the Kamloops Symphony is making a commitment to reschedule both concerts either in their entirety or in part for a later date, if a suitable venue and conditions can be met. We unfortunately cannot commit to specific dates as of now but are carefully monitoring the circumstances to determine what may be possible. Our first choice is to reprogram these concerts, and we will do our best to make that happen. However, we must also acknowledge the realities of the situation and understand that this may not be possible.

As the current circumstances pose a significant challenge for the organization, we encourage ticket holders to choose one of the options below:

  • Hold on to your tickets for the new performance date. Once a date has been announced or a formal cancellation notice ensues, other options will be available to patrons.
  • Donate the value of the tickets back to the Kamloops Symphony for an official tax receipt.
  • Apply the value of the tickets to a credit to future Kamloops Symphony tickets (including 2020-2021 Subscriptions once they become available).

If none of these options are possible, we will issue a full refund for the tickets.

As the Kamloops Live! Box Office is undergoing operational changes in response to the pandemic, we ask that patrons let them know which of the above options they choose through one of the following methods:

  • Email the KL!BO with your name and decision at klbo@kamloopslive.ca (preferred)
  • Leave a voicemail on the KL!BO Phone Line - 250-374-5483, and await a return call. (Subscribers should choose option 2 when calling in, and ask to speak directly with Michelle Chabassol.)

We wish to thank all advocates of the Symphony and the Arts in Kamloops for your continued support during these extraordinary circumstances. Now more than ever, we rely on the kindness of music enthusiasts like yourself, and invite you to consider renewing your support today. With your help, we will get through this.

We look forward to sharing beautiful music with you in the near future.

Sincerely,
The Kamloops Symphony
