We want to thank everyone very much for your donations to Barb's Used Book & Music Sale. Without the help of our amazing team of volunteers and your generous donations, the sale would not be able to happen. All proceeds from the sale go towards the Kamloops Symphony Society’s operating expenses, which include everything from concert productions to educational programs, and we greatly value your support.
Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to accept any donations, as we have no space to store them.
We have received awe-inspiring and literally overwhelming amounts of donations over the last year. Our former storage area in the soon-to-be-re-opened Westsyde Elementary School was filled to near bursting with generous donations prior to the last two sales. Because the building is opening as a school again, we had to vacate around the time of the April sale and presently do not have a permanent storage space. We ask that if at all possible, you hold on to the items you wish to donate until our next sale in November. If you are unable to do so, there are several thrift stores in Kamloops that would appreciate your generosity.
Barb's Used Book & Music Sale has developed a well-earned reputation for the high quality of gently used items available. This is largely thanks to our volunteers who do a fantastic job sorting the large amount of donations. Remember, we do not accept:
- Tattered/ dirty books
- Magazines
- Readers Digest
- Encyclopedias
- Textbooks
- VHS tapes
- Cassette tapes
Donations will be gratefully accepted starting the week before our next sale in November. Stay tuned for the announcement on the exact dates and location of the sale.
