Get ready to let your hair down, kick off your shoes, and get “Feelin’ Groovy” as we take you back in time to the 1960s with guest artist Jim Witter performing the music of Simon & Garfunkel. There are two performances of Feelin’ Groovy – The Music of Simon & Garfunkel, Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 pm. Due to the ongoing repairs at Sagebrush Theatre, these performances have been moved to the Oasis Church on Rogers Way.

The 60s were a time of new beginnings, with John F Kennedy becoming the youngest ever elected president of the United States, Martin Luther King leading the Civil Rights movement to new heights culminating in the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and Neil Armstrong becoming the first human to walk on the moon. Musically, we saw the rise of the Motown Sound, the British Invasion, and the hugely popular folk/rock scene that gave the world the music of Simon & Garfunkel. Feelin’ Groovy – The Music of Simon & Garfunkel features songs like Mrs. Robinson, Scarborough Fair, The Boxer, and many more that will have you singing along and chanting “far out!”

Guest artist Jim Witter has been entertaining crowds for over 30 years. Whether it be his original music, the music of Billy Joel and Elton John, or any of the other many artists he pays tribute to, Jim’s versatility as an artist has allowed him the opportunity to reach out and share his music and his infectious personality with audiences of all ages across Canada, the United States, the U.K, Dubai and The Netherlands. His unique approach and comfortable rapport makes each member of his audience feel as though they are a part of a private concert in the comfort of their own living room. This, along with his rich, powerful voice and ease of manner at the piano, make him a favourite with theatre goers everywhere.
