It is with mixed emotions that we announce that February 12, 2022’s performance of iskwē & the KSO has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 7:30 pm.
iskwē herself has recorded a video message outlining the reasons for the change of date, which can be viewed below:
As mentioned in her video, iskwē recently tested positive for COVID-19, and for her own wellbeing, and the health of all audiences, artists, and crew, she would not have been able to perform with us this weekend. We are however very fortunate to have found a new date that works for both her and the Symphony.
In addition to being admirably honest with her circumstances, iskwē was also following the Kamloops Symphony’s extensive and critical COVID-19 protocols by recusing herself from the performance. Although very unfortunate, it was better that we know now, instead of through the rapid screening process that all musicians and crew were to follow ahead of the concert weekend.
All of us at the Kamloops Symphony are wishing iskwē the best in her recovery. However, not all is lost, and we can’t wait to perform with her—and for all of you—on April 21 2022, for a stunning and emotional evening of music making.
Thank you for your understanding and your continued support of the Kamloops Symphony.
With love,
The Kamloops Symphony
