As an arts organization, we endorse the adage that “the arts can heal.” In the spirit of reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, we acknowledge the harm caused by colonialism, including the colonial roots of our organization’s art form. We recognize that there is still much work to be done, and commit to do our part in the collective healing, educating and relationship building for a better future that is inclusive of Indigenous Artists.

Chacon: American Ledger No. 1 Filmed back in early May of 2021, this collaborative project with the Kamloops Art Gallery explores colonialist history from an American Perspective. Also featured as part of the exhibition Soundings. WATCH

We Won't Forget you Written, recorded and filmed with students from the Sk’elep School of Excellence, this poignant music video gives voice to the younger generation. WATCH
