Dear music lovers,

It’s a pleasure to share with you the Kamloops Symphony’s 48th season, where the music is tuned to life! From orchestral masterworks by Mendelssohn, Handel, Tchaikovsky as well as contemporary works by Stacey Brown, Peteris Vasks and Missy Mazzoli, our programming will highlight the incredible talent and passion of our KSO musicians.

Signature and Pops’ Series will be an occasion to welcome renowned guest artists such as the neo-classical pianist Jean-Michel Blais, the Innu soprano Élisabeth St-Gelais, the Cuban-Canadian author and singer Alex Cuba and acclaimed musical theatre superstar Louise Pitre.

New this season, are exciting concerts experiences presented at the Alliance Church on the North Shore, which will allow you to discover our orchestra and KSO Chorus in a vibrant and intimate atmosphere. Moreover, our talented KSO musicians as well as several distinguished traveling guest artists such as cellist Elinor Frey and pianist Janina Fialkowska will make special appearances at Kelson Hall to present fine-point recital and chamber music concerts curated for all tastes, from baroque to contemporary music. We are also delighted to offer an extended number of family, educational and flexible concerts such as the Little Mermaid and The Spirit Horse Returns which will bring symphonic music to our younger audiences.

In addition to the return of our festive celebration of talents of all generations with our Christmas with the KSO concerts, we will also see the return of Jean’s and Classics in a special concert where the audience will vibe to the sound of the greatest tunes of The Who and Led Zeppelin. Don’t miss our unique Handel writes The Messiah which will bring a new sight on this masterwork in this special format concert/play which will feature WCT actor James MacDonald.

The KSO musicians and I can’t wait to share this exciting season with you!
