**THIS EVEN T IS NOW CANCELLED**
In conjunction with this spring's Barb’s Used Book & Music Sale, we are presenting an intimate evening with award-winning CBC journalist and the “voice of Canadian literature” Eleanor Wachtel. The event will take place
on Friday, April 3 at 8 pm in the Irving K. Barber Centre, located in the Brown Family House of Learning at Thompson Rivers University.
Throughout her 40 years in broadcasting, Eleanor Wachtel has dedicated her career to telling the stories of those who tell stories, engaging the world’s best and most influential artists in intimate, illuminating conversations in the award winning “CBC Writers and Company.” Over her hour-long presentation, audience members will hear her recount memorable moments from her impressive career, and what it is like to interview the world’s greatest authors. Following her presentation will be a short, moderated Q & A session.
Kazoo Ishiguro, author of Remains of the Day, has called Wachtel “one of the very finest interviewers of authors I’ve come across anywhere in the world.”
All proceeds go to supporting the Kamloops Symphony’s concert presentations and educational initiatives. This event is presented in partnership with Barb’s Used Book & Music Sale, which is running from March 21 to April 5, with the generous support of Thompson Rivers University.
Tickets are $30 plus service fees and are available online from Eventbrite or by calling the KSO office at 250-372-5000.
