The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra announced today that its rehearsal in Sagebrush Theatre at 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 28 will be open to the public by donation to the United Way in Kamloops. All donations will be earmarked for assisting people in affected areas of the Thompson Nicola Regional District with recovering and rebuilding from the devastating wildfires of this summer.

Now that the fire danger has been reduced due to cooler weather, many communities in the TNRD need help with resuming a normal life. All donations received at this open rehearsal will go towards assisting people with moving back into their homes, supporting non-profits to help more clients with food and health needs, and social activities for families and children to remove fear and anxiety.

The Kamloops Symphony is presenting this nearly sold-out performance of the VSO on Thursday night. The dress rehearsal is 45 minutes long, and will run from 6:00 pm until 6:45 pm.
