    One of North America's most exciting and innovative ensembles, Vancouver's Pacific Baroque Orchestra presents baroque, classical and renaissance music on period instruments in an informed historical style. The PBO was founded in 1990 by a group of West Coast musicians under the leadership of internationally renowned violinist Marc Destrube.


    4. James Ehnes Recital - March 25, 2009

    James Ehnes Recital Wednesday 8pm, Sagebrush Theatre

    Canadian virtuoso violinist James Ehnes won a 2008 JUNO award for Classical Album of the Year for his concerto recording with the VSO. The award added to the earlier success of the album, which had already earned both GRAMMY and West Coast Music awards. Ehnes is no stranger to such awards; his impressive discography of over 20 recordings has garnered several others. Since his graduation from The Julliard School in 1997, his career has taken him around the world to perform as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician.
